We are Beyond 4 Walls Kona, we organize community events that bring people together through music that include different church worship teams and music groups from the community.
Our heart is to show love to the community through music, working with each other even through our differences and help in areas that we can.
We are not trying to get anything from the community but give back to the community.
We want to try and bring unity into the community, working together and showing that we can genuinely care for one another.
Beyond 4 Walls Kona came about from a vision God showed me in December 2013. God showed me a vision of a praise and worship concert located in the community. It was at the Lanihau shopping center (Famous footwear parking lot area), there were hundreds of people there, all from different church groups praising & worshiping together as One. There were different tents there, a prayer tent that people could go to for prayer; a book table with bibles and other reading material for the people to take; also a snack area. I heard God say He wants is people to come together, no longer separated but united and working together as One body.
This vision came to pass on January 30, 2016 at the very location God showed in the vision. We had over 350 people that attended and 5 different churches from the community participate.
This has been our heart ever since, to bring the Body of Christ together, to operate as One body, One family as God intended. There is One body with many members (which is ALL brothers & sisters in Christ) and One Father (the shepherd) God, Jesus Christ & the Holy Spirit, for or all three are One.
I am the Good Shepherd. I know my own sheep and my own sheep know me. In the same way, the Father knows me and I know the Father. I put the sheep before myself, sacrificing myself if necessary. You need to know that I have other sheep in addition to those in this pen. I need to gather and bring them, too. They’ll also recognize my voice. Then it will be one flock, one Shepherd. — John 10:14-16 (MSG)
This is not to take away from the existing service locations (churches). That is important part of our walk with Christ. But God doesn't want us to be segregated. Yes, we have the place that God has called each of us to attend and serve but it doesn't stop there. It's what we do with what we have learned from the Word of God in those service locations. Its about going “beyond the 4 walls” of a building and going into the community and sharing what we've learned with the lost, confused and people longing to know a love that only God can give.
Even though we are all a part of different service locations we are all still ONE body, All brothers & sisters in Christ with the Same Father, with the Same goal, to share the love of God to all His people that He loves. By taking this step together, we can tear down any walls of separation that may have been built over the years between churches. God wants us to be unified together as one body working in love and peace.
For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. — Ephesians 2:14 (NLT)
And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony]. And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. — Colossians 3:14-15 (AMP)
It's such a beautiful sight to see all our individual lights coming together generating One glorious light, shinning together for the glory of God.
Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. — Matthew 5:14-16 (MSG)
